My name is Mia Petrovskii. I'm a bounty hunter in New York City. The year is 2178 and the sun hasn't shone on Earth since the government scorched the sky, thirty years ago.
They thought they were helping.
The planet is now barren and cold.
Crime runs rampant.
Food is scarce.
And we, the members of the Clandestine World, are no longer able to hide who we are.
The humans know about us; Vampires, shape shifters, witches and werewolves, like me, are common knowledge. In the past thirty years these four factions of my world have taken over running the Earth. Many think this is for the best, where as others, like me and my family, know it's wrong. God never intended for us to run this planet.
Rumor has it there's a witch hybrid scientist who has been working on a way to fix the sky. No one knows his name. They just refer to him and the project as Black Sunshine. I thought it was just a fairytale. Turns out, I was wrong. It's real. But he's been kidnapped and I've been tasked to find and secure him.
Doesn't sound too hard, right? Compared to the criminals I usually hunt down, this should be a piece of cake.
Yeah, right.
